Water Intake

So how much water should you drink?
You've been told to have your 8 cups of water a day but is that really what it all comes down too?

I'm afraid not. Everyone is different so that's why we must do the proper calculations.
To calculate how much water you need I suggest you follow this formula...

Your body weight ÷ 2 = how much water you should be drinking

Now this is simply one formula and there are multiple out there.

I chose to follow this formula and create a goal for myself; that goal is to drink 8 bottled waters a day. Adding a pinch of sea salt (not regular salt) to every bottle before i drink it.

And how does drinking a bunch of water help your hair grow faster?

Well for starters, drinking water increases the amount of moisture in your hair, and since you lose moisture as it grows it needs to be replaced. Another way I think about it is our similarity to plants. You want healthy plants/trees, you give them plenty of water. If they are hydrated enough they can fight off anything. Not enough water and the system shuts down and only hydrates the vital parts.

So do whatever you can to remind yourself to take that extra moment to pick up a water bottle and drink. It's worth it in the end!

Sometimes instead of the 8 bottles of water I just fill up a gallon with tap water, throw a straw in it, and guzzle away.
